can't get on various messageboards

i can't seem to get onto any messageboards which use java or javascript.
i've already tried to change the security settings in the internet tools section.
ready to pull my hair out! :evil: :evil:

what opperating system are you on?
and do you have any programs like antivirus/fire walls etc running
