Agreed, no-one ever mentions it but I played it more than the remix.

the electro track on the flip is in a different league to the other side, its absolutely amazing. Ive never liked "Murder was the bass", i think its a horrible tune

Jesper Dahlback has done some wicked stuff like, his tech house tracks on 20:20 vision, v.good
murder was the bass was definately one of my favourite tunes from last year, if not the favourite.
everytime i hear it, it reminds me of richie hawtin belting it out at cocoon last summer and all the germans going mad for it. class.

I dunno. You liked that CCC record on Chan n mikes which I think is pretty much what you wrote above. (not the nordstrom mix)

Ive seen numerous debates about this record before. Always a nice bit of controversy.
Personally I think DK is a great record,i think its more to do with the fact that its been absolutely hammered by every single dj outthere that people have grown to hate it.
I can put money on it that the majority of you went off your nut the first 6 months you heard it out! ;)

yea exactly....i dont know how many one can diss a tune like that.
even just the basics or just the production is great.
give em a break.
and lets start making our own tunes huh.

I never heard any of that stuff but he did DK Sex aswell which is okay and Lenk 142 (Drumcode 26) was done by him aswell, and that was a top notch release.

Nothing like a bit of exaggeration! Listen to the top 40, that's musical murder...in fact it borders on genocide.

****, this is one lousy fatass track.
[quote=maily] Lenk 142 (Drumcode 26) was done by him aswell
umm....i thought Lenk did that track....
and i liked murder was the bass for the first while, and i admit the reason i hate it now is because it has been hammered by every single dj on the planet.

As Dustin pointed out to me many times during the Movement weekend, where we heard it in almost every DJ set, this track is possibly the most played-out techno track in existence; it's right up there with the Beyer mix of Ben Sims' "Manipulated" on Primate IMHO.
It's not really innovative, but kids love to hear it, and they go nuts everytime. It's not spectacularly bad nor particularly excellent, it's just a functional club tool which seemed to catch on like wildfire with everyone and their mother/brother/sister/pet. The big DJs caned it, and everyone else followed suit, same thing that happened with User records back in 2000 after the first DecksFX909 comp.
ive seen krome play in la so he must not be too afraid.. i havent seen him back since then though

DK8 got played out, but the other DK 12s have been top records
as for Krome alone, his production ****in killer. the bassline track with the Event Horizon samples on Shockabuku II is still sharp...
and the original of Bitches Fron Hell is lethal
