yeah really liking this ep too. theres 1 track i particular like, really dirty number.
its great to see hes going back to the way he used to be because we all knew what hes capable of. I mean tracks like Lanicor,Brotax,Benozal,Entozan. These are all amazing classic records that have rocked dancefloors for years.
good lad uros.
not heard this one yet. can anyone link us up?
ive been impressed with his recent material too.

I got a new umek (on phont i believe) and it's a solid drummy club track with a bit of funk, but in the middle of the break, a cheesy vocal drops... I wasn't really feeling it after that, but I don't think he should be type casted to one style.

Lanicor is proper. and my Brotax is cue burned da foook...
i used to get his real early stuff thru a great store in Belfast. nasty nasty o'loaded loop stuf.. then, as he got bigger, the trax got softer.
appears hes going back to the dark....

the question i ask though.
is he actually playing these tracks hes making out or is he still playing that cheesy techno stuff hes been hammering for the last couple of years?
listened to about 20 mins of a set of his last month and it pretty much sounded as you were.

Umek used to be brilliant, until he started making all the recycled loops shite and playing cheese, havent heard this track but good to see he can still make more aggresive tracks still, lets hope it's here to stay.

i might just pop my snout in on umek at the gkgg if these are the sorta tunes hes comin up with.
he'll probably be on early anyway so no doubt gay techno could be the order of the day.
we shall see.

Most of the releases on the legendary Absense label(also by brothers yard and random logic - http://www.discogs.com/label/ABsense) still sound amazing, not to mention some of the early tunes on CR. His sets used to be raw minimal madness and brilliantly structured untill about 2001, it all went downhill since. And yes, his mixing is sadly still piss.
(btw he used to regularly spinn electro as well in the late 90s, still got 1 of that sets on a tape, a really quality choice of electro imo)
