THE VEGETABLE REMIX TRILOGY VOL. 1 OUT SOON ON KARMAROUGE RECORDS !

You remember the term "Organic music", right? Well, that term just got revamped and has never been as accurate as now. Get this:

Stranger things have happened - but this one definitely gets a pretty high ranking. They are called the Vienna Vegetable Orchestra and they use musical instruments made out of vegetables: carrots and cucumbers instead of guitars and drums, or pumpkins as bass drums and leeks as violins. Amplified through microphones and played by the Orchestra they form an isomorphism of electronic music and a structure of sounds produced by the vegetables. They are also probably the world's only orchestra that can eat their instruments after a show - and they do. If this is not "Organic", we don't know what is.

Karmarouge Records (Cologne, GER) begins a series of remix releases with their latest offering, The Vegetable Remix Trilogy Volume 1. The concept of this remix trilogy is the interpretation and reconstruction of electronic music by organic means. Karmarouge has invited well known international artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Oliver Hacke, Märtini Brös, Basteroid and Gabriel Ananda to take part in creating their individual sound interpretations of these wonderful vegetables.

The VEGETABLE REMIX TRILOGY VOLUME 1 vinyl will be released on Karmarouge Records on the 20th September 2004. And now the fun part --

The record will be pre-released exclusively at Foryourears.com as digital MP3 music files on Monday, 13th September. Stay tuned and join our mailing list to get the latest info !

The Märtini Brös are thumping the pumpkin with their "Pumpkin Jam Mix" featuring MC Veggie. Across a bouncing beat and a swinging bassgroove, MC Veggie chants frenetically "Make this jam of pumpkin" and originates a perfect 90's dancefloor scenario by means of melodious fruity sounds. We assure you that cucumbers, pumpkins and carrots have never been as sexy like they are now, nor have any booties started wiggling the way they do after hearing these sexy sounds. Lose the meat and get some veggies! You can (literally) beat it!

Volume one of this remix trilogy not only makes the vegetarian hearts miss one beat - but already on the track A1 "Radish Reduction Mix" the clubbing audience will go nuts from the funky groove of Gabriel Ananda's all-dominant sub-bass. The kickdrum hops like a fresh tomato through the aisles of a futuristic vegetable garden, trying to escape and avoid from scraping and peeling kitchen utensils. Paired with a pumping beat and asparagus-peeling hi-hats, mr. Ananda's will put the scrumptious sausage aficionados to shame and convert them to vegetarians!

Drill a hole in a carrot and get down to the sound of the Vegetable Orchestra. Listen to the vegetables !
