Hi I've got a SID station, anyone else out there using one?
Seems to be a bit mentally tuned - i.e. it's hard to get it to fit with anything else in the mix but there's some cool sounds you can get out of it.
Also it seems to fall out of sync with the MIDI quite a bit, anyone else had these problems/found a solution?
Bloody noisey though.

cant help but fall in love with the .sid
i wanted one but never had the chance or the money to grab it. aparrently theyre continuing the same technology to get the sound in their later synths but they arent including the sid chip. have fun with it. it would seem to me you really have to have an oldschool sound to get it to completely fit in to the mix. or just write chiptunes. yeah. :rambo:

Yeah it does.. and I haven't been able to compare the two as I have not used a SID station before.. but apparently one bonus of the emulation is that you don't have any of the noiseyness that the hardware version has..
That being said... the sid within the mono does sound damn tasty :)
