i was reading in the techno song area..forget what its called...but there was mention of ployrhythms..what exactly does this mean..i think it was also mentioned that schranz doesnt have it..or them...jsut curious to what it is..or how to achieve one...ty

two or more patterns of different lengths played together. as they are played, they will line up differently each time round, due to one being shorter than the other.

I think it can also mean having two or more rhythmic lines with different meters - eg. triplets running over quavers/crotchets.

and schranze doesn`t lend to polyryhthms cos it is oompah oompah, on beat off beat music. Due to the pumping nature of the overcompression that is used. throwing a polyrythmic part into this equation would be pointless.

ty all....

also how do i make triplests in fruity loops....is it helpful for schranz or not really....im sure it is if i want it to be right....and also ...what is a way to over compress just put the gain all the way up and the threshold to where?

I think you can change the piano grid snap menu to triplets. 'S been a while since I used FL though...
