is there any kind of VST for cubase with say 8 inputs than i can
link each channel into it.. ???

i dont think there is... but you can link a bunch of different channels into one group channel if thats what you're after...

just wondering. whats wrong with the audio mixer that comes with Cubase?

doesnt work... :(

i dont like it.. i cane eq worth a damn with it for somereason
everything is just a mess... the mixer i used to use with buzz
machines i could use well and everything was in its own space
and sounded nice....

surely it cant be that hard ro write one? i cant find one anywhere
could someone not write a virtual mixer that installs dummy drivers
on the computer... and as far as cubase knows its sending to a real
audio card output but its going to the virtual mixer to do what you want
with?

the problem with VST mixers (and i write ALOT OF Pluggins), is that the audio must be directed from the internal channel thru your set of eq's and busses and effects and back out to an audio out on your host program.

VST's in general are CPU hogs, and a home grown vst mixer will be devastating because it is essentialyl a gigantic box of dozens of smaller vsts.

i do get a kick out of making my own synths & samplers though :-)
