I am planning on buying the Alesis RA300 poweramp for my Monitor Ones. The specs are really good. (damping factor 200, freq response all flat, etc).
Now the only downside to this is that I usually use 2 pairs of speakers and can switch between them with a click of a button on my current crapy amp(sony hifi if you might ask) but I won't be able to on the RA300.
What I find strange that many other amps with poorer specs are much more expensive (NAD, Thule Audio for ex.). Are they that much better or are you just paying for the brandname?
It's also strange that I haven't found any SINGLE review on the net about the RA300, so if any one of you can give me some insight into how it works, it would be appreciated. Or any advice about any other outstanding amp would be great.
