hi gang,
can someone tell me how well the mc303 received midi? i understand that the mc303 has one drum part and 2 synth parts, does each part get its own midi channel?
thx!

yeah, you can run lots of stuff, I'm sure it worked best if you held down one key when you were turning it on to turn it into a regular synth rather than an extra funky one. Then you could send it bank and patch messages to get the right sounds and the front panel did nothing.
On the down side it only had L and R outputs... in the end I just sampled all the drums off it one day and loaded them into a sampler instead.

ive used them to trigger other modules & drumachines, but never sent them messages. other than a clock.

From what I remember of trying to use it as a sound module its a pain in the butt... I'd say get hold of the manual - it seemed to explain it well enough, but I can't remember it to go through it here.

hold it down when you power it on and all of the front pannel except the main volume is disabled and it works as a sound module controlable via a midi tracks from your sequencer.
PS for some reason this image appears in the prieview but then keeps disapearing from my post, if its not showing then copy this link into your browser... http://www23.brinkster.com/radiusrecords/images/303but.gif
