Screw the fx I'm glad they didn't put that garbage on there.
Still no kill switches or faders tho.... and the console style faders are pretty dumb for a dj mixer..
Sweet.. another Pioneer product I don't have to waste money on :)

I wouldn't mind the efx processor for a few tricks with a live PA. That would be kind of useful. The old EFX 500 was always pretty good for that.

Master isolators on the top right look ok.
They always dress up their gear don't they?
Still prefer my A&H to be honest...anyday.

Eq's for the booth monitor? stroke of genius.... how many time have you been mixing on a shitty foldback and wanted to eq the mids so you could hear what you're doing?
me = a million.
This looks sweet.

Yeah agreed, that's a pretty good idea...
Although I'm not sure if I like this compared to the djm500/600...not keen on the faders or the lack of internal fx on board...

good for djs with little or no tricks.
agreed for thos who dont want to use efx... an external efx proc has always been better than those cheap interated proc...
but a dj cando tricks with records etc. the long fadrersa re not a problem, i consider this a basic dj skill to be able to use long faders to make cuts .... so thes faders do not forbid cut-like tricks.
and the long faders allow more precise mixing anywas... that was the BIG problem of the DJ500/600 the EQ and faders werejust un-precise libreating all the sound power at some part of their range, and doing nothing outside of it

master isolater is a wicked idea, would love to have one of those intergrated on the 600, had to buy an external one.

The DJM-1000 is a robust installation grade mixer with the highest quality digital audio, enhanced functionality and intuitive design.
It's the result of extensive industry research and development with world-renowned DJs, club technicians and installation engineers.
The DJM-1000 employs Pioneer's expertise in audio technology to create a high-end reference audio mixer that is easily connected to traditional DJ equipment as well as other digital devices like samplers, effectors and digital turntables - giving professional DJs uncompromised performance and the flexibility to perform the best possible sets.
Pioneer's heritage in digital technology has been used to create a high-grade digital audio path for the DJM-1000. The mixer has a 24-bit/96kHz digital sampling rate and a 32-bit/96kHz digital sound processor. The DJM-1000's digital input-output signal path allows for transparent signal processing of Pioneer's CDJ and DVJ series of digital decks, ensuring the best possible sound quality. Analogue input signals are also digitised by a high quality A/D converter and mixed without any deterioration to the audio. The unit has a rigid chassis to minimise vibrations and a high performance power supply to produce clear, powerful sound.
The inclusion of a 3-band Master Isolator allows the user to control the levels from +6dB to - 26(Kill) dB in each band. It can also be used to attenuate and accent partial bands. A 17 phase fader curve allows adjustment not only of the cross fader curve but also the curves of the channel faders. This enables DJs to customise the feel of the mixer to suit their own personal style.
The DJM-1000 is also designed to integrate easily with the new Pioneer EFX-1000 Effector along with future Pioneer Pro-DJ products. All will share the same high quality sound and can be controlled via digital links to give even greater variety to a DJs performance.
Unique features and industry firsts included on the DJM-1000 are: A new Sound Link / EFX Link function that is used to control other Pioneer equipment via a link cable. A BPM Synchronise Function that synchronises the BPMs of all attached equipment, i.e. CDJs and an EFX unit. A Visual Link Button used when other visual equipment is connected, which enables control of visual effects and fades with the Pioneer MIDI cross fader.
The bespoke ALPS line faders can be easily changed for rotary versions giving clubs the flexibility to cater for DJs preferences

Yeah, way too expensive. And I hate those faders! I agree with Traxx - " I'll stick to my 600 "... But yeah, the booth EQ function is something all (club) mixers should have!

apart from all the extra digital shit thats in there they have priced it high enough so that it doesn't bring down the price of the 500 and the 600 :cry: :cry: bastards!!! i am waiting for the price to drop for ages, cheepest 600 is around 600 quid, and its been out for a a few as well.if i was gonna pay that sort of cash for a mixer(2000) i would av a a+h xone 92 ;) feck all this digi shite :dontevengothere: ;)

Yeah regardless of the fact that I don't like many things about this mixer.. one of the biggest turnoffs is the digital pathway.... :/

I wonder what the curves on the eq's and the input gains are like on this mixer......never owned a Pioneer but any time I have played on one I find the curves odd to say the least especially on the input gain....the knob goes from 9 oclock round to 3 oclock and the only range that isn't silent or overloaded is between 12.00 and 12.10. Well ya know what i mean.

eq the mids so you could hear what you're doing?
True, but this expensive "piece of shit" only has High and Low-end EQ, it'll help, but still... could have just aswell done it all the way.
Isolator does look cool, but it's not worth buying it for just that. No FX on it is just a shame.

Maybe they finally did something about the soundquality... ;)
Main con's are still:
-> Too Expensive
-> No FX

it looks like the tasscam x9 a bit same sorta look. i would be interested to hear this on a rig to listen to the eq..hate eq on the 600 due to the fact they are all filtered. the sound coming off a 500 is fine.so will be intersting to hear the sound quality on this. :study:

Looks Brilliant, perhaps pioneer are getting a little worried about the stages forward the xone:92 is taking mixing.
