What piece's of music or which songs get played before or after the match at your club ?
From 1992 till 2002 we always used to play the "tom Hark" tune when we scored, You know the one..every club in the land seems to use it now when they score & that's why we no longer do ;)
So now we play "500 Miles" by "The Proclaimers" sounds a bit shite i know but can be quite effective in enhancing the atmosphere when everybodys giving it the "nah na na nah na nah na na nah"
Also we seem to have a new song to play at the final whisle when we win as i discovered in last night fa cup match againsed Liverpool. Apparantly it's by a geezer called "Tony Christie" & is called "Amarillo"
Sounded quite good when i was dancing around in the stand celebrating our famous giant killing act  although i've no idea what relation it has to football or winning
Here's the lyrics (it's been buzzing round my head all day)
Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala
When the day is dawningon a Texas Sunday morning
how I long to be there
with Marie who's waiting for me there
every lonely city where I hang my hat
ain't as half as pretty as where my baby's at
Is this the way to Amarillo
every night I've been hugging my pillow
dreaming dreams of Amarilloand sweet Marie who waits for me
show me the way to Amarillo
I've been weeping like a willow
crying over Amarillo
and sweet Marie who waits for me
Sha la la lala lalala Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala and Marie who waits for me
There's a church bell ringing
hear the song of joy that it's singing
for the sweet Mariaand the guy who's coming to see her
just beyong the highway, there's an open plain
and it keeps me going through the wind and rain
Is this the way to Amarillo
every night I've been hugging my pillow
dreaming dreams of Amarilloand sweet Marie who waits for me
show me the way to Amarillo
I've been weeping like a willow
crying over Amarillo
and sweet Marie who waits for me
Sha la la lala lalala Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala and Marie who waits for me
