Not that we ever need an excuse to party, but we thought getting January out of the way was reason enough for a throw down. This will be the first solo 1stGeneration outing for over a year so we're kind of looking forward to it. New year, new venue and............same old format, namely us playing music we like to like-minded people.

Without getting bogged down in genres, it'll loosley be an electro/techno/house type of affair, mostly ignoring any styles that are prefaced by the word "hard-" on this occasion.

Remember kids, ketamine is for horses.

Friday 4th Feb

3 bar on the door, mush.

Update : We have just heard from the venue management that, due to some problems uncovered during the recent refurbishment, the Verdis basement part of the venue will not be ready and open in time for this party. However, both ourselves and the venue management felt the better option would be to continue with the party in some form, so we will be using the Mariners bar part of the venue instead. This means that the party will start slightly later at 11pm after the band has finished. So if you turn up at the venue before 11pm and are greeted by the sounds of a rock band, don't panic ! You are in the right place. We'll be ready and waiting to kick things off as soon as they finish their set. Your understanding and continued support is greatly appreciated.

The farcical 1stgeneration event organisation continues (although in our defence this is all entirely outside of our control. Honest !), so please ignore all that update shiz up there and take heed of this please :

Just had a call from the venue management to let us know that the band have cancelled so we've got the venue to ourselves again. Wahey !
We're free to start earlier if we want to so, um, I guess it would be rude not to. We'll aim to kick off around 9-ish now.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to all who came down on friday. Despite the organisational glitches along the way, it actually turned out to be a very enjoyable, busy night.
