So Brad comes over this morning, and amidst a killer hangover, some bowl pulls, and talk of heaven an hell. This is what came up. Brad did most of the skeleton and I came in and put the Puerto Rico in it.
Hope you enjoy. Open to Ideas.

Did some more work to this today. Post hangover. As soon as I get a chance will bust it out. Wonder what Brad's doing with this over at his crib?

not really feeling the synth stabs in places, sounds a little cluttered. seems to work better with the sparser, more regular lines. sounds tough as fck overall though - the kick is immense and the percussion is sweet....

Here is what I did with it at my pad. I didn't have a couple of his VST's so I had to do some editing to improv on it. I hope that you guys enjoy...

Your version isn't bad at all Brad but I think it lost a bit of direction there. Cutting down on the length of it will help as there are no major changes that occur after the 3:30-4 min mark or so. There's some cool stuff in there though.. ;) I can see you've been eatin your frosted flakes

This is sick
I don`t like the stab sample much. The sound is a little too digital, and the melody is a little too incidental.

But the rest is just sickola!!!!

With a stronger dark melody, this will be killer.

The messenger rework has lost a little punch on the kick.
And I still don`t like that melody.
But the sound is a lot fuller, and the mid section is nice and atmospheric.
A mixture of the two version would be nice.

Just had a listen to the last version posted. Sounding pretty cool. Got a fairly solid kick going on there, but seams to be lacking in the bass. Not too sure on the stab sound as mentioned before, just seems to be there for the sake of it and not for a particular purpose. I like the pads that come in. Sounds cool as **** when it comes back in 4:03.

Good stuff on the whole,

Keep it up boys

Ha Ha, I love the stabs personally. Gives it that post apacoliptic digtal storm type of feeling to it. But that is just me ;)

We'll give a few differant noises a whirl though to see what happens. Just means alot more work...ha ha

I'll have to re-do alot fo those edits now as well if I change just that one noise.... Maybe though if I add some nice verb to it, it may change the feel...

We'll see what happens though. I might just get the bug tonight if I have time :rambo:

Yeah the stabs aren't bad per se.. but I sorta agree with Steve... you can get much deadlier and it would make it that much better of a track.

It's sorta... "mock-oriental" now.. if you follow me...

Is that a bird kris  Just kidding man I get what you're saying. Don't worry some changes will be made. Hopefully my PC doesn't take a crap on me during the process...LOL :eh:

I find it funny when someone says the synth is too digigtal when this is techno, just a thought.

Cos sometimes digital can sound cheap if not processed nicely.

Alright, well I tried about 500 differant sounds last night, and I kept coming back to the very same one. To me it just didn't sound right any other way. However I did a re-edit to the way things are arranged. The track is more to the point now....I hope you enjoy....

As this is the last thing I will ever show of mine on this forum, I say we need to combine the two and ship it off Brad. Very Nice work man.

Thank you Dan. I appreciate that greatly. I could not get the PSP warmer working initially, but now it's all good. So the kick is a bit stiffer :rambo:
