yea funky is good but at times can be repetitive n cheesey.... i have a lot iof funky tunes from earlier but when i was pissed about a year ago i lost a bag of records .....and coz i was playin for a college gig i had all my funky stuff in the bag..... so her i am left with HARD
but the stuff iwas playin was player series, bensims, star traxx, bando .....
if u like funky check out collabs 200 speedy J + Literon...the flip is the sexiest tune i have. (2 copies makes it even sexier)

Gotta second the Player series, and the early User records (not a big fan of the recent output)
Also check out Bad Pimps, recent Joey Beltram, Dave Clarke, Mac Zimms, Agent Orange (specifically his release on Terminal M)

oh yeah? 2 copies???
yea... but the first 3 beats are gettin worn down on each record from me fuggin around with them....but to scratch them the kik is nice n clean...
have 2 copies of player 2.... 'rub on your tittiies' thats pretty fun to mess with 2. but ive slowly been edgin away from funky techno, altho i still buy it now and again if a tune catches me.
anyone know player 7??? i have it but at a session somewhere some1 stood on it takin the side off it. theres a wikid ruff tune on it (1st one on the side with 2 trax on it) i miss it!!!
i pmed Mark Eg asking did he have it to sell, but alas no reply!

Yeah Gary Martin is good, check his label Teknotika. Another good label from Detroit at the moment is Motech, check "El Camino" by Dex, best record I've heard from Detroit in the last while.

"El Camino" by Dex is a great record, all tracks are bang on.
There is another dude called Dex on UR which is also quiet funky but with more of an old electro slant... it says on discogs its mad mike ? http://www.discogs.com/release/179397
is this the same guy?
got a mad mike album_ "the turning point" the other day and its savagely funky, blew me away, its probably not the sound your after but its worth searching for all the same.
