For this date we are bringing over a head to head
Hardtek Live P.A who go by the names
of Pzeko/Mamute Vs 1QLP...

1989/1992 - Armed only with a beat box and his freestyle singing,
it’s via hip-hop bands (Da Bourine Zone, Allias) that Lionel Andieux
(aka Pzeko/Mamut) from Nîmes was introduced to the stage and live
performance. In the early 90’s, the street culture and video games’
aficionado discovered techno music. Fascinated by what he describes
as its “hypnotic beats”, he organises his first rave party under the
Capsule Corporation name, in his hometown with his own
sound system.

Travel lover and rather experimental DJ at heart (Praxis, Labswork,
Rotterdam Records, Spirals, Cipher/ Laura Grabb, Trope), he turns
his attention to the live set after considering his stock of vinyl clearly
insufficient for the dance floor. Encountering Spiral Tribe perfected
his initiation, and greatly influenced him to make his own music.
As a result, numerous artistic experiences followed (live sets,
sonic accompaniments of Body Art performances, musical
illustrations of contemporary dance).

In 1996 his tracks were released on vinyl and he produced under
various names: Pzeko, Mamut, Robi Crob…More than ever in the
pursuit of a “new sound” - somewhere
between broken beats and up tempo - he combines the underground
vibe of the early “Mad Max Parties!” with his own spiritual quest, taught
by the Wing Chun, secular Chinese martial art. A new
electronic public enemy is in the house! Spread the noise…

-----------

1QLP (Hubert D'Antin) is aged 24 and is part of the
Subdivizion crew. He supports the free underground culture in
France, and has played at many free parties over the years. He
has been a DJ since 1996 and began playing live in 2000. He is
heavily influenced by D ’n B & Hardstep. This will also be his
Scottish debut.

1QLP and Pzeko are both very excited about playing for a
Scottish crowd.... They have been hearing good things about us,
so let's show 'em how it's done over here!

This one promises to be off the wall full of hardtek fun....
