Noise / shock
This branch of Industrial focused more an brutal, ear shattering, noise, much of it was for shock value, it was and continues to be a huge influence on modern interpretations of Noise music, as well as Industrial music in general.
Aggro-industrial, Coldwave ... etc etc

the stupidest genre name i've heard is freeform. its basically hardcore, only more trancey (and i use the term 'trance' loosely). theres nothing about the music it that even suggests its free of form of structure.
