In the early 90's, Jeff was originally interested in all types of dance music, Ragga and Rap. However, in 1994 he also discovered dutch hardcore as a result of the Thunderdome Compilations being aired on Frech television. He was instantly hooked on the hardcore beats, and became fascinated with this genre. This heavily influenced him and he began to DJ.
After living in Paris for many years, he moved to Geneva in Switzerland. Here he began to spin house music and gained his first experience of playing at clubs and parties. After realising that there were limited opportunities for him to pursue his career in dance music, he decided to move to London.
In London he discovered techno, which he fell in love with because it had the potential to fuse all the genres that he felt passionate about. He was initally influenced by Carl Cox, Mark Williams, Ben Simms and the Liberators.
In 2001 Jeff's label (Squat Records) was born. He describes the label as promoting techno for 'real techno lovers'.
