Hey...your from LA.

In your opinion, what's Orange County like to live in? Hopefully nothing like the friggin OC! Looking at maybe flying to Cali in August and assessing some job prospects, a suburb of Huntington Beach or similar rings a bell.

if you're looking to become a nuclear family with 2.5 kids, a minivan, and weekend bbq's, OC is the place for you. the whole county is a planned community -- that should tell you something. granted there are lots of nice beaches etc, but it's filled with street racer wannabe gangster knuckleheads, nouveau riche pretend dirty surfers and very pretty strip malls. other than that it's cool. ;p

p.s. - if you're looking for the at least somewhat genuine beach community feel and LA is not in the cards, while it's of course way different than 10 years ago, north san diego county can be very nice.

well i dont live in OC, but i have friends who live there, its more of the "white" part of town, but its nice there, and no its not like that tv show lol

depends where u live in OC though, but the cities by the beach are the shit, hermosa beach, redondo beach, belmont shores

quite expensive though

I've been hearing this more and more...I'm considering it...The rain and grey of Portland is getting to me.

shit i stopped by this on my way home from Thailand, had alot of fun, my friends and little brother met me out in Palm Springs all the way from Calgary, Canada.

the electronic music tent was hurtin in my opinion

NIN however....was intense. Trent is god man.

and this new band "Casabian" blew me away.

New order wasnt very impressive, and they played a kiely minou song mixed with blue monday at the start.

haha

I saw the gayest thing i have ever seen. Perry Ferrel from Janes Addiction doing a dj set. Like 125 bpm booty house and he couldnt mix, just act like a washed up rock star. I started calling him Ferry Perrel.

and it was the 2nd time for me seeing the chemical brothers, and their set was exactly the same as the first time i saw them (in january) in melbourne. looked closer, all they were doing was dancing around to their DAT they had going. kinda funny that they call their new album "PUSH THE BUTTON".

DJ Krush was wicked tho.

but man i love nine inch nails.

sorry...just saw this...i was just in town until that monday. got a little taste of LA...want to return, for sure.

best electronic act i saw was definately miss kitten. best rock (sort of) act was m83.

prodigy were even worse than i thought they would be (and i thought they would be really bad)
