!!¬¬wet percussion querys.¬¬!!!

kan any one answer me this. i have been listening to a lot of "micro house" people like matthew dear, minx, villalobos and others. i have noticed they all make alot of there percusion sound kind of wet and drippy. i think it is some sort of reverb trick but im not sure. help me!!!!!¬¬¬¬

micro house is minimal, with clicky analog sounds and heavy on the granular fx. i'm not too sure what they are doing with the drums though.

im guessing theyre heavily filtered with enough resonance to make them sounds as drippy as a grannies knickers

As for that percussion, lots a nice wet verb, rezzy flanger and filters i reckon..

I read in an article on modular synthesis that "wet" sounds come from different frequencies at a cascade of different delays. I tried it out using Reason's vocoder to split up the spectrum once, hooked each stream up to a increasingly short delays, and it more or less worked. There must be easier ways to do it though...

Parametric EQ, with high resonance, with the frequency being driven by an envelope follower? Should be quite easy with Quad-frOHMage, or something similar.
