Apparently the album was made through loads of compressing old pop songs. Compressing it so much that the songs became unrecognisable. Some haven't though, thats why there is legal cases pending over copyrights.

In the nightside eclipse is a lovely album altogether.
"Percussion work carries the song by shifting a framework of inevitability around the fantastic chaos of guitar noise and simple rhythmic patterns; unfolding architectural pseudopods of power chord scales descend into the panoramic expanse of rhythm, stirring it with the chaos that engenders the evolution of the next phrase. I was a bit disappointed in it actually. But, I blame the hype. It was just a bit more poppy than I was hoping for. Guess I shoulda known after hearing the bootleg though. The wreckingpit is the domain of the psychobilly homepage. The psychobilly homepage started in may 1995, and has become a big success on the Internet. I started these pages to inform the world about psychobilly, which is a mixture of fast rockabilly and punk-rock, and to inform psychobillies about events around the world. Wrecking is the kind of dance psychobillies do at gigs. It's a mixture of slam-dancing, and freestyle wrestling.

~no because there is already a thread for all this stuff.
That`s like having 2 threads for who`s your favourite DJ
Sunil
08-08-2005, 09:21 PM
No, it's not like having two threads for your favourite DJ, this thread just went the whole hog and didn't include techno at all.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Dirty Bass wrote (in relation to The Listening Club):
"Ok, well, to try to broaden peoples horizons a little, and to show that techno can be more than just Boom-Tish Boom-Tish (Although there is nothing wrong with the Boom-Tish).
I thought we could have a Suggested Listening Area, where people could recommend a new album or single release, or a particularly special Live PA or Mix, that is Techno, Or Techno related, in terms of progressive listening, and then we could discuss, kinda like a book club. "
-----------------------------------------------------------
Maybe you should re-edit the above guideline for The Listening Club, as it still very much relates to techno, even if some people have been posting non-techno suggestions in it.
This thread is about completely non techno music.
dirty_bass
08-08-2005, 09:28 PM
Ok, done, although I`m still keeping it a thread about forward thinking, progressive music, as this is the TECHNO forum.
There is a general forum to chat about Led Zeppelin and other stuff, or a myriad of forums for just pure music discussions, however, this is blackout audio, and is, in it`s nature, techno, or technology and future based.
So I guess, erm, maybe I should move this thread to the general forum.
Sunil
