Howdy again.
Anyone have any ideas for things I could put together to make a mentalist homemade drum kit\percussion setup. We already have a decent drumkit to work with(double death metal kick drum over techno here we come  ) but I have a good bit of space to work with.
I am probably just going to pickup every single piece of sheet metal and rubbish i can find and hammer the shit out of it but I would appreciate any info or thoughs people have on this or creating percussion instruments from scratch. Any links?
BTW. Neubauten style instruments would be nice!

Have you ever tried lifting the things when they are full of water?
Never mind trying to steal one from under the nose of the receptionist at Globotech Internationals headquaters.

i have , hence two slipped discs
get a rolled up newspaper, dunk it in a bucket of water.. i find the guardian nice (phat), and wack it against cardboard boxes of various sizes.
Mike it up so that you get samples from inside the box (bass'n'mids) and outside near where the newspaper makes contact (mid'n'top end/transient).. then mix the two signals. Dont forget to compress whilst recording so to get a hot signal.
I cant remember where I heard this but have tried it.. its dope.
ps.. sample aerosols/spray cans for hi hats. sweet clean hats. Bo!!
Yo!
the above (newspaper/cardboard box thing) makes great kicks. I forgot to mention that but you probably guessed? Im a bit pissed at the mo,..
