cost of starting a label

looking 2 start a label next year sometime and just wondering how much roughly would this cost and also any advice u people could give would be class

We have one starting very soon as a ballpark figure I would say you need about £1000. We are going for full colour artwork though and have a label desginer on the case.

If you only want something like One colour centres you are looking at around £850 then add ya VAT (if in UK) for 500 Vinyl.

The represses are alot cheaper and if you sell over your 500 that's where you start to make money yourself.

Keep an eye out for Infekted a new techno label coming in Aug/Sept. ;)

Distributors are the way to go if you can find one you can deal with! Unless you wanna go around to every shop and handle the sales of every record yourself. :roll:
