Quality set mate!
Top tracks and tight mixing.
Thanks...
no need to hope tooltech, ive already got a bunch of tunes lined up for the next mix. expect vol.2 to crop up within the next few weeks ;)
Si - cheers for listening and giving some feedback mate, really appreciate it.
I actually just put the mix onto cd and gave it to a mate whos practicing some stuff on his bongos (which we're planning to record and layer over it). We usually play at raves as a little duo and it always works out well. I'll keep you guys posted if it all comes together like we're planning :)

please don't do that.

please don't do that.

:eh: ...heard it before and it sounded crap then?
seems to sound good whenever we do it at parties but never actually recorded it over a mix before... which is why I'm interested to hear the final outcome :)
I plan to keep 2 versions of the mix anyway - one with and one without bongos ;)
different strokes... but anytime i've ever heard live drummers next to a dj i've wanted to kill the drummer. clearly you don't feel that way.

my mate is pretty tight on the old bongoloids.. hes been playing drums since he was a young lad. Along with tribal type techno it just adds another level to the drive of the percussion! Might not be that way during a recording session tho.. might only be good for the live enviroment, we'll wait and see ;)

great set mate..really enjoyed it. one for the car that
thanks for the feedback mate :)
if your planning to play it in your car then I'd much prefer to send you a burnt cd with the original wave file on it... it'll sound alot more meaty than a compressed mp3. I'll split up the file so you have seperate tracks instead of one big mix aswell. aslong as you live in the UK then its no worries ;)
anyone else for that matter that lives in the UK and wants a proper burnt cd just post up your address or send me a private message!
cheers

i want the results :)
try it. maybe it works
I am planning on doing just that mate! at the moment I'm finding it hard to get hold of a couple of good quality condenser microphones for recording. If it all works out I'll upload the new mix (with bongos) for anyone interested in listening.
I'll keep you posted tooltech ;)

In regards to the mix it's excellent. Superb mixing and the tracks are well selected
In regards to the Bongo idea layered over the mix, excellent idea and I would love to hear it. It's something similar to what the Wetmusik boys used to do....they had BK and Rhythm Boy who would start off the proceedings on an evening by going into a full on drum session which would lead into the first track - superb !

Mr Getz...where are ya?!
BUMP! - Here I am!
Sorry about the forum absence, I've had nightmarish computer problems these last few months
Since making the first mix I've played at a few free parties down here in Cornwall, and tried to record my sets but the laptop always seemed to cock up for some reason. I think I'll just record it here at home instead soon enough, I've got a couple of tunes in mind I still need to get - so maybe 1-2 weeks and it'll be here :)
In the meantime I might have a little something to wet your appetite... me and a good a friend recorded a 2 hour back to back just a few days ago - all the same style of my first mix, tough driving and tribally... but I don't know where to host it? My host is limited to 100mb and this mix is like 160mb
I could probably upload a low bit rate version (like 96k?) but Im man of quality and would prefer better ;)
Let me know if you guys can help me out, because I'd def like you to hear this latest mix :)
Cheers
