Presents
‘FREAK SHOW’
The Real Gigolo History DVD Release Party

SATURDAY 1st OCTOBER 2005 @ THE KEY
Kings Cross Goods Yard,
Off York Way, London N1

DJ Hells INTERNATIONAL DEEJAY GIGOLO RECORDS launch their first London residency to be held at The Key in London’s Kings Cross.

Like most clubbers in London and beyond, the guys from Gigolos (based in Germany) fell in love with the Key venue as soon as they set eyes on it and cannot wait for their first party on Saturday 1st October 2005.

This will be the official launch party for the long awaited first DVD release on Gigolo called ‘Freak Show’ which documents the history of the label including interviews and tracks/video footage from Fischerspooner and Miss Kittin.

The DVD will be screened from 10:00pm at the Key, and then we let the dancefloor mayhem unfold.
The Gigolos parties will concentrate on showcasing artists from the record label and who better to start with than LIVE shows from XLover and Play Paul and DJ sets from the Freaks Luke Solomon, Atomizer (Jonny Slut & Fil OK) plus Brendan Long (Voodoo/Bugged Out) and Heidi (Phonica).

XLOVER will be performing tracks from their debut album ‘Pleasure and Romance’ of which they collaborated with Felix Da Housecat, Princess Superstar and Jon Klein (The Cure/ Siouxsie and the Banshees). The bands lead singer Nina Rai is fast becoming a fashion icon according to Vogue, Bryan Black used to play keyboards with Prince and the album has been compared to those from Miss Kittin and New Order, no more information needed to sense this is a MUST see performance.

There will be a rare chance to catch French producer extraordinaire PLAY PAUL. Best known for releases on Crydamoure and Roule (and being the brother of Guy-Manuel of Daft Punk) he is now part of the Gigolos stable and lent his soul vocals to an exciting new version of Green Velvets La La Land to be performed within his LIVE set at the Key.

Expect the classic ‘Creeps’ by the FREAKS to be dropped when LUKE SOLOMON steps up to the decks. As well as recording for Deejay Gigolos Luke is the Man behind the labels Music For Freaks and the Classic Music Company which he formed with Chicago House legend Derrick Carter. Starting out as his production career with Ty Holden for Freetown he soon went on to start up the London pirate radio station Girls FM with Kenny Hawkes. Their partnership went on to spawn the ‘Space’ nights at Bar Rhumba. He soon met up with Justin Harris and they began producing together as Freaks, Imbalance Allstars, Robotic Movement and The Unknown. Besides this he is also an extremely talented DJ recognised for his funked up acid DJ sets that is sure to tear the dancefloor up.

ATOMIZER are the London synth due behind ‘Hooked on Radiation’ released on Gigolos but are better know on these shores for being the brains behind London’s weekly Wednesday ‘Nag Nag Nag’ that, even on a school night, is full every week and is envied for attracting the coolest crowd in London lapping up the ‘No wave electroclash pogo disco’ music. This will be their debut of what is set to become a more regular fixture with Gigolos and The Key.

Support comes from Gigolo party residents BRENDAN LONG, Voodoo resident and regular player at Bugged Out and HEIDI of London’s Best loved Record Store – Phonica.
