OK, so there's been loads of discussion on here recently about the future of music.

So do this little experiment:

Shut your eyes. Now look into the future.

Now tell me EXACTLY what you're hearing.

I hear live human music merged with brutal tribal electronic machine music.

I'm not talking about a single man with a saxaphone or guitar I'm talking whole orchestras and brass bands and total percussion sections.

The power and emotion is immense !

Further into the future I see supercomputers with just one big screen on the wall, no visible keyboard or mouse to operate with. By making motions with the hands or touch screen technology or even brain wave signals (all electronic signals remember) we carry out our tasks and commands...

i see more experemental music. music that makes you constantly think. not that techno doesnt now but like a puzzle. then it goes back to the simple things in life again so you can feel relief.

basically more evolved techno, if thats possible.

Complex mechanical music. Where the current technology of that era is sampled and re constructed into something pure evil, the synths are just plain weird and sound very dark and textured. The agressions there but the sounds still sound a lot differant. I dont hear as many actual drum sounds (ie snares and hi hats) instead I hear something that just hits the same frequency as those drums. I deffinatly hear machines and robots, most probably the household ones we will have in that age and have sampled, the ones that do our dishes and clean up all day for us :)

really boring torturous repetetive noises that make you grind your teeth to a pulp, induce vomiting, and involutary body movements

I just hope I can still hear music, or I'll die !!!

I just hope I can still hear music I love as much as the music I love now.

Chances are it won't be the same stuff, but I hope I find something I love just as much, if not more.

Have you ever 'lost' music? It's the most soul destroying thing ever.

It's also the best thing in the world when you find it again!
