ARTIST INFO – a bit of info on some of the artists……..

PSYCHEDELIC ARTISTS

Liquid Space...

…was founded in 1998 by Denny Seidewitz and Serdal Kalkan after they’ve met during a small underground session in the south of Germany.
The RM1-X of Denny broke and Serdal borrowed him his one for the night and the party could take place…

They started making Psy Trance together and soon they had their first bookings. Since then they enveloped their own unique style and played at many parties. Some of them small and secret, some of them bigger and public. (Electricity, Märchenstunde, Firestarter_A, MetaSphere_CH, Merlin’s Birthday,..)

In 2003 Liquid Space released their track “Liquid Destiny” on the Spontaneous Aerobics Compilation “Kick Off 2am” and two more tracks (Mystic Eden , PlaygroundStories) on the Compilation “Traininglesson 2” in 2004.

The Liquid Space debut album on Bionic Pie Sounds showcases the hard work over the last years. It is rocking from the start and smashing till the end.
A colourful mixture of twirling and flying psychedelic beats.
Directly to your center of soul.. . . . . . . .

Due to changes in their personal situation Denny is keeping Liquid Space alive on his own. For his live bookings he gets some little support by Astray, the other part of the Bionic Pie Sounds / Liquid Space -dance-association.

In 2005 they’re going to rock the FullMoonFestival and some other nice events, too.

PROGRESSIVE ARTISTS
CUBE
Cube (Sam Brady + Graham Teeling) formed about a year and a half ago and have worked solidly since then on thier own tracks using solely hardware synthesizers, samplers and drum machines.

Thier music ranges from electro to breakbeat and techno with the focus on putting some of the feeling back into dance music, with big synth sounds, seriously catchy hooks and funky/bangin beats.

Sam has worked on various projects over the last 7/8 years including short film scores, solo electronic projects (several gigs in TBMC) and another partnership 'Brothers Unrelated' who played at the 'Smash Biotek' gigs in TBMC and many free parties.

Graham started out as a Drum'n'Bass Dj, but began mixing techno and breakbeat too, often playing at the same gigs as Sam. He took to production fairly quickly and has produced tracks ranging from Drum'n'Bass to ambient, electro, techno and breakbeat. He has worked on several projects with different prople over the last few years.

Some of you may remember them for Glenart Castle a few months ago at one of the earlier gigs of the year where they played to and pleased a great crowd. They also headlined the NCAD end of year ball this year, played at Smack in the Basement Club and numerous parties since thier formation. They never fail to get the crowd moving and can guage very well what the people want to hear on the night.

They were recently booked to play at the 'Leechrum Festival' but the police ordered all sound systems off the premisis so thier gig was cancelled.

CHILL OUT ARTISTS
DUBREAK
Dubreak's sound is a intricate tapestry of interwoven hardware synth melodies with an evolving layer of electronic percussion. Dublin based Dara Grehen began to record his music in 1993, as a sonic diary for the current sounds that brought a smile to his face. He has also been on countless voyages to the Outerworld, where he persuaded several high profile algorithms to spare his puny heu-mann existence. His Jamaican tinged sonic revelry is best listened to when collapsed and semi-conscious in a darkened room.

ye man, biggest thing ever to have hit dublin i reckon. 16 dj's and 6 live acts in 4 areas in 6 hours...... the vaults is a savage venue, shame there isnt much on there although the creative music fellas put on some good stuff there. the trance heads really know how create the party vibe though. all that uv stuff and those trippy 3d geometric string thingies.... they did all the deco at the electric picnic this year so expect the place to be transformed completely... flyers and posters will be everywhere real soon. so bump the **** outta this one and get everyone down.... all the techno heads and all the psy heads gettin together for a big mash up... cant wait
