First version - advice needed on first 4:30 mins... what can be done to make it interesting without using same keys and bass as sencond half of song?

Well it's quite hard to tell what's going on clarity wise due to the 128bit mp3..
But content wise I'd say the the track is way too long. You can condense it down to 5-6 minutes and keep it interesting, as right now it's quite loopy.

yeah i might cut out the start of the track... doesn't really serve a porpuse.
its only up @ 128 till i do the final mix... i'm more concerned about the tune at the moment.

the kicks are big, but not very punchy.

I think as allready said with the tool type nature of this it could be shortend.
Like you say the intro could be trimmed off.

Nice track, one it starts (nearly 2 mins in), most dj's will just skip to where the beats start,
Your kick sounds like it's comming from next door, Try eqing it to bring out some of the higher frequencys to give it more of a punch,
Other than that I like the percussion that you have going on
