sup, i just got Given a 200gb "Serial ata" hardrive, but on ma pc ive only got normal "ata/ide" hardrives
basically with out being dence how the hell do i plug the S.a.t.a on to ma pc, different conectors ?

yes, you need a motherboard that has sata connectors on it like this

then you need to buy a sata lead
then you need to look at the power connector on the hard drive, does it take a molex or a sata power connector

the sata power connector is on the left of the pic, the normal molex power connector used in ide drives is on the right.
then you need to look at your psu, if it has sata power connectors your fine, if not, i think you can buy adaptors that plug into your molex and then have a sata power connector on the other end.
and some sata drives just have molex connectors too

oh yeah, and i think if your motherboard doesn't have sata on board, you can buy a pci sata card, then you just plug them into that
