The industry standard is Wavelab.
T-RACKS is getting very long in the tooth, though it's still not bad.
I just use my sequencer (FL Studio, Ableton or Cubase - depending on what I'm writing) and WAVES plugins to do a the job. I can then add things like side chain compression, automation and exciters etc. which are unavailable with T-RACKS. It also promotes writing a track with mastering in mind right from the start, which leads to less hastles when you finally sit down to clean things up for your final render.

I tend to use T-racks, Sound Forge, and Adobe Audition.
