Fruity 4 , Need Help

Mine & Tigers Fruity has just started to make funny noises !

He rang up and said just added a few more patt's etc... and the sound start to crackle and clip ! Then it happened to me to ! Argghhhhh

Any Ideas peeps !!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your using Fruity Studio (or other versions i think but not 100% sure) theres a couple of things u can try if u haven't already

first of all, get rid of any un-used plug-ins, they can seriously drain ur CPU even if they aren't being used.

Secondly, switch smart disable on for all plug ins by opening up the mixer and clicking in the symbol on the top left corner and selecting 'switch smart disable for all'. These 2 are fairly obvious and u probably tried em already tho.

U coulkd also try increasing the buffer length by goin into the Audio options and under the output selection there is an option to change the buffer length, this is either a slide bar or a button u press which brings up a drop down menu, it all depends on the drivers ur using.

Lastly u could try downloading the latest drivers for your soundcard and make sure u have the correct output selected in the audio options.

Tried it all man , still does it !

I get this, it crackles and gos mad, the cpu bar at the top gos right up and its gay! :shock:

Sorted mine , turned the bufffer up full blast and ticked hardware buffer in audio properties

cpu rate sits nicley on about 20 now !

And also ,

Once you have scored what ya want with a plug in & automation etc.....

Export that pattern as wav , the delete plug in pattern , then insert wav !!!

Jon told me that , and it works , free up the cpu by playing a wav , instead of all the above !

Obviousley cant ammend , but if you feel your gonna ammend save plug work as midi etc......

exporting is a ocmmon process, mite as well get used to it as thats what u have to do with hardware, after i use c4 on kiks i export them and reimport as the c4 kills the cpu, also if using waves reveebo n percussioon loops, export and reimport the loop. same for strings with atmosphere or any cpu hungry vsti
