http://www.11-hour.com ... great selection of downloads, comprehensive links page, etc. Sadly the site hasn't been updated in ages
http://www.arcart.org ... simple design and excellent content
http://www.overloadmedia.co.uk ... web site from short lived 'zine - obviously there hasn't been anything new here in years but the archived section still has lots of high quality content

red head website is deadly cant think of the site do

http://www.djredhead.com

Don't visit it too often as it would sometimes lock up windows, or take forever to get of the flash shit.

Lars Klein's site is clean and simple.

Also, I can't think of any other sites other than Dave the Drummer and Mark for providing quite a descriptive and animated review section. Always makes for a crack of a read plus gives you a fair idea on what you'd expect to hear. Much better than a standard chart list.

Blackout is the best one, no doubt.

i also like The Advent site. esp. the mixer, where you can simply mix some advent loops together,.

also like Burkat, and Klein websites.

If a website is done in Flash, I only tend to bother with it if absolutely necessary.
Otherwise I close the browser sharpish. Flash is just evil, not to mention proprietary.

If a website is made in Flash...

1. You can guarantee that "look" will win out over "feel", which tends to mean you've lost before you've begun in my mind.
2. You won't be able to right-click and get links for images / other links etc., which is just shit.
3. You won't be able to view the site from any workstation which doesn't have flash installed, and doesn't allow you to install pluguns - which is often the case in work environments / universities / other public internet access locations.
4. You won't be able to view the site on a platform which doesn't have Flash written for it (e.g. AIX, last time I checked).
5. The whole thing is tied up in massive licensing issues, since Flash is proprietary.
6. It kind of flies full face against the "open" nature of the internet... where content is totally indexable and reusable everywhere.

... and to be honest, if there's anything (useful) you can do with Flash that you can't do with a bit of creative thinking and some clever JavaScript / DHTML then I'd like to hear about it. And if you're in any doubt of DHTML's capabilities then check out DHTML Lemmings (http://www.elizium.nu/scripts/lemmings/index.html)... Not a shred of anything other than DHTML and JavaScript.

Flash sucks big hairy donkey balls, in a nutshell.

is also a very cool site........the drum machine page is awesome and the new opera dude is cool too. very japanese, but not recommended if you dont like websites with flash (or if you are still using dial up) not directly a techno site, but it is pure techno....
