Helping us get smashed before we go Christmas shopping this year are two of Voodoo's most loved artistes...

ANDREW WEATHERALL
Swaggering original moody DJ. The pop star producer. Bastion of the underground. One-time (ahem) Balearic figure-head. Electronic experimentalist. Peerless explorer of the minimal techno sound. Arch grumbler. Londoner. All these notions have been bandied about by punters and critics alike in a bid to pin down Weatherall's role in music. In the dull world of dance music personalities Andrew Weatherall comes across as a refreshing and involving character and always reflected in his musical output. Weatherall's history goes back to the beginning of the British acid house scene - the mere mention of the following names conjures up visions of excellence (and debauchery)...Shoom, Boys Own, Blood Sugar, and of course Sabresonic and the live band Sabres Of Paradise. It was through Primal Scream though that Andrew first made his name as the producer of Screamadelica. After the demise of Sabres Andrew teamed up with fellow Sabres cohort Keith Tenniswood to form Two Lone Swordsmen and the latest 2LS LP "From The Double Gone Chapel" features vocals by Andrew himself, Keith on bass and guitar, plus various live drums and keys - nice. Another groundbreaking DJ set at Voodoo on the cards!

RADIOACTIVE MAN
Destiny took charge of Keith Tenniswood when he met up with Andrew Weatherall and The Sabres Of Paradise at night-clubs like 'The Drum Club', 'Full Circle' and 'Sabresonic' and began working with Weatherall manipulating sound on the Sabres tour. Having been an integral part in the Weatherall studio set up since, it seemed a natural step that upon the demise of Sabres, Weatherall and Tenniswood should arise from the debris and form their own production team, the Two Lone Swordsmen. In 1996 they released their first album together as the Swordsmen. Outside of the Two Lone Swordsmen, Tenniswood leant his talents to David Holmes 'Lets Get Killed' album and has also worked with The Aloof and Red Snapper. He released his debut album also titled "Radioactive Man" on Weatherall's label, Rotters Golf Club, in September 2001. Tenniswood fills his weekends by playing records or live in nightclubs. He can be found DJing in the UK and overseas most weekends, and tonight's live show is a very warm welcome return to Voodoo!
