Hey there,

I am a little confused at the moment. As I am told by some that Ableton is mainly used for Live PA and that Cubase SX is the better program for studio production.

Then again I have also been told Ableton is less complex, more user friendly for Live PA and studio production.

QUESTION EVOLVES AROUND "STUDIO PRODUCTION" NOT "LIVE PA":

Just curious if someone could help me with which is better to use?

Is Ableton a good sequencing program for production? Or am I better off with Cubase SX, I know artist such as DJ Misjah and Adam Jay have said they use Ableton for studio production. Not that it matters, but just a little confused in which direction should I go for?

Thanks.

My advice - Try both, see which one suits you best. At the end of the day, its not what program you use that counts, its how you use it!

If u like working around loops and audio snippets then Live is a powerfull program... mainly is u like 2 produce all at once... but 4 fine tunning and real processing I would rather depend on SX... Still live is great if u like yer prodution style 2 b "simple" and straight forward just live a Jam/ live session...

... best thing is 2 use both 2gether via rewire..
