make sure you record enable the track (ie the red becord button ON THE CHANNEL)
then if that doesnt work make sure you've set your sound card as the output device in the prefs
just enabled the record on the channel and its still not having it. but when the channels out is on microsoft gs wavetable sw synth. it sounds a piano. and i imported a loop into an audio channel and that didnt sound either

its not an answer, but i think when the midi led goes up and down, that doesnt mean there is audio! it just means MIDI has been triggered.
only on audio tracks does that mean the level of audio coming out. have gone to the inspector window and assigned the midi track to the LM7??
nah i havnt. i'll giv it a go. cheers fella
where abouts is the inspector window??
where do i select my soundcard in sx3. ive gone in preferences & into the different audio settings in there but i cant find anything saying about soundcard options. how do i get my soundcard options up??

i just bought cubase SX3 and upgraded from SX1 and i can see why you can be a bit confused at first....
go to devices/vst connect/ and click on the input and output tabs
check to make sure that your audio output device is set to your sound cards stereo L and R. If nothing is there, then you might have to install the soundcard drivers (asio) or whatnot...
even if your soundcard shows up, you still will not get a signal if its not routed to the right busses.....
nice 1 tek i'll giv that a go. i got into the vst connect the other day the soundcard was listed in there. but i didnt check the audio output device
cool
