He was the one of the worst managers Freddie Shepard could have appointed. Nobody wanted him as he is a complete dickhead.

Hasslebaink has scored in the 87th minute and perhaps this will be the catalyst for Souness's sacking. I can only hope so.

SOUNESS OUT, CLAUDIO RANIERI or MARTIN O'NEIL IN!

O'Neill yes but Ranieri?? He was sacked after just 5 months at Valencia.

I know he had a bad time at Valencia, but his time there before was very good and I think he did very well at Chelsea.

He's won the Champions League with Valencia too.

oh well... a point gained I guess, but this will no doubt mean that Souness will stay a bit longer and allow the downfall to carry on.

The quicker he is sacked the quicker we can move on.

I don't rate Souness much either but not sure anybody could do much better with the injuries they have had.

What about Sam Alladyce for Manager??

I would take him, but he would never leave Bolton for Newcastle, not when Newcastle have so many problems.

Thing its Souness is not sorting out the team at all. They play AWFUL. Really bad football. The players are very good though, so I put it down to Souness management and tactics which is the failure.

I can't remember any of the sides he has managed ever playing good football and he kinda jumped from a sinking ship at Blackburn when he joined you.

I was at the game today and i was gutted when we conceded that goal especially from a daft corner and then schwarzer flapping at the cross but it was a good craic. The geordies dont sing at home for some reason, you'd think that there would be a few songs considering there is 49,000 of them but it was only the boro fans singing today.

They have now got parker injured for 2 months, Ameobi out with a hip injury....

Any side missing 7 of their best players would struggle - even Chelsea would if they lost Lampard, Crespo, Makelele, Cole, Terry, Duff all at the same time.

Dont agree with chelski struggling.

They wouldnt get them injuries all at once as they are always chopping and changing the team where theyve got a big squad.

Plus the fact they are spunkie fekker

I know it would'nt happen to Chelsea but if it did and they lost those players even they would struggle a little, Lampard is their top scorer remember.
