How old is this set? Is it very recent?
Haven't heard a DJ set from him before, I am assuming its more along the lines inbetween techno and tech house or I could be wrong. Let me know anyone.
Either way will download this as I have only heard good stuff about him.

i believe the official phrase is wonky techno. watched him a while back and he sure knows how to knock you side ways with something extremeley different(or wonky)
if you visit www.overloadmedia.co.uk
u can stream or download the mix.

Not had a chance to preview it before putting it up as my soundcards ****ed, but it's not TOP quality encoding, Mono, 56kbps I believe, but that's what we've always used, and never had any complaints. Give it a stream and see what you think.

this is one of the best mixes i have ever heard.
i split this mix in 2 cd's and took it on a 16 hour bus ride, i must have listened to it 4 times over the whole trip, there and back.
the way he mixes breaks, wonky techno, hip hop, and whatever else u wanna classify is outstanding.
and his scratching is phenominal. what a great dj. best set i have downloaded in a long long time
thanks
King Jonny let me know if u confirm him for toronto i would love to try and get him out fro calgary.

If you go to about 53:00 minutes into it there's the bollard track by Weve De Crepon... listen to how he mixes out of the track and into the next one - he's managed to line both tracks up so both vocal samples are saying the word "stick" together! :o :o Only noticed that last night... :o

this is one of the best mixes i have ever heard.
And it's pretty much what he plays out as well - lots of the tracks on there he played out at Uglyfunk last time I saw him. He is a genius.

If its of any use then 56kbps in mono is not too bad. As its doubled for stereo, ie if it was stereo then it would be 112kbps, so not to far short of the 128kbps for supposed CD quality...
Although to my ears, I can occasionally here clipped high hats on a 128kbps mp3. So always try for 160 or 192, which if I was going to host it for downloading I would turn into mono as for the most part there's little point in having a techno mix in stereo...
I checked yesterday and Jerome's mix at Pure Filth generated approximately 5gb of traffic per month on the Pure Filth site, thank the lord for Blueyonder's unlimited bandwidth deal... although I am doing my best to get a phone call from them to cease and desist for abusing the deal... :-)

56kbps is too bad for my ears.... If u turn up the volume a bit, ur ears die of the ****ing ****ed up sound of the high hats and so....

This is one of the best mixes I have heard in years.
Dont let the 56kbps put you off - this is exceptional.
Mad skills.
Does anyone have the tracklisting of this mix?

There was one at the Overload Media site, wish I'd nicked it now...
Pitty....
From the reviews I'd say the mix is awesome.... except for the extremely low sound quality. I noticed with the lower kbps such as 96kbps, the high end developes an extremely high frequency that is painful to listen to. For example, the Grooverider@The_Edge,1993 set on my site... When he plays Harmony&Extreme "Music", the strings in the tune have almost a painful dog whistle pitch to them that causes me my ear drums to register pain (like the baby in the 'techno inside' avitar)!!!
Yeah, I won't be downloading this techno set. I however encourage the author to do future sets at 192kbps or higher.

Why don't you stream and listen, it's mono, read willy wonkas post above.
Anyway up to you, this wasn't posted for an anal discussion about bitrate.
