SILICON SCALLY - LIVE (a.k.a. Carl A. Finlow / Random Factor - Paris)
Alan Carbery [Electric City]
Simon Conway [electricity]
Admission 10 euro
This week sees the debut Irish live appearance of one of the worlds leading
electro producers, Carl A. Finlow. Alongside artists such as Drexciya,
Anthony Rother, and Decal, Carl has long been at the forefront of the
electro scene and it's a great coup for us to have Carl play one of his rare
live sets at the club.
Carl has recorded under a myriad of guises [Random Factor, Silicon Scally,
Voice Stealer, il.ek.tro, 20:20 Vision, Scarletron] for labels such as
Satamile, Warp, Klang, Soma, Device, Electrix, SCSI, 20:20 Vision, Subvert,
Electron Industries, Prescription Underground, Playhouse and many more. His
live set features some of the deepest, sleekest futuristic electro ever
made.
Carl has recently moved to Paris and earlier this year no less than the
mighty Kraftwerk requested that he open up for them in his adopted city. His
hypnotic live sets have garnered huge praise from the likes of Andrew
Weatherall, Laurent Garnier and, of course, Kraftwerk. This live appearance
is not to be missed and promises to be one of the highlights of the Electric
City year. Support on the night will come from Simon Conway and Alan
Carbery. Tickets are available from Big Brother and Selectah Records priced
e10 - entry on the night will also be e10.
