finally got to see him in action last night.

been a fan of his records & style for a long time now & he delivered last night.

bit pissed at Shine in belfast advertising a 3 hour set that was from 1am to 3am.. not the first time theyve done this either.

but aside from that (and the dullest warm up set i have ever heard) twas a good night.

sims is the most skilled :rambo:

no idea where sims is production wise. stopped buying vinyl over a year ago cos its overpriced & generally shit lol

but his dj set was good (if 33% missing)

He's had a few remixes out and that record with liebing but he has been fairly quiet. I'm not really into the new path he's taking in his production but I have started buying his records from a few years back. His old symbolism stuff is hot as is his hardgroove work but I 'm not sure what to expect from him production wise at the moment.

Great Dj though.

his older stuff is certainly better but it's all classic Sim's at the end of the day, big loops, party tracks, solid grooves. Always been the way with Sim's ive found, and he's one of a handful of Dj's who are technically flawless

cant fault sims at all. absolutely embarrassed mills in glasgow the other week (which isnt hard thesedays really) absolutely spot on with the 3 decks,2 cdjs malarky.

I was there as well - Sims showed what a real techno dj can do - he had that back arch stomping away by 11.15 - mills was just dull in comparison.

lastnight was immense. 3 decks, 2 cdjs. 4 channel mixer, so hes got 2 tracks playing, 2 loops on the cdjs, and flicking the line switch between cdj and deck 3 as he crabs the crossfader. pretty ****in special
