To get to the point, we are sick of pressing in Germany, they won´t press our vinyls without the Gema admission and this costs around 350 Euros. For pressing your own stuff!!
It´s all a bloody ripp-off, just everything in this ****ing country. So my question, anyone know the adress of a good pressing plant in the UK or in Europe outside of Germany?

at least us french can be proud of this. http://www.mpo.fr/
probably the biggest vinyl manufacturer in europe (they dont do mastering, just pressing). just look at the inner spiral of you records, MPO appears probably more than "the exchange" or "curve pusher" ...
well, they say (at least in .fr and .ch) you have to give them this bloody copyright ageement to be able to press at their place, and i guess as they do good job they might be pretty expansive ...

One of my last records was pressed at MPO France.
I really like the quality. But if you really want it to sound harder, take a UK pressing plant. They are the best!!

Damn, I know Curved Pressings has pretty much the best quality in the game, but 250 Pounds for delivery of 1000 copies to Germany. That costs me more than the Gema license :(
I´ve heard about a pressing plant in eastern europe, here´s their link:

Ever heard of them? Their prices are really good....

Yeah but the quality is not so fine!!
Marko Nastic did some stuff over there.
But to get back to curved pressings.
If you really want some quality, do it man!!
And you don't have to pay for the GEMA..
I just calculated for myself what the costs are.
And they are cheaper than the prices at Recordindustry in Haarlem / Netherlands!! So i will do it in the UK.
Ritzi Lee, good to meet you again!
only if you remember that russian freak that sent you a cd in spring ...;)

What about Nilz from the Exchange?

The Exchange used 2 do a lot of work 4 Prime.. so I guess they'll have a bit more "time& patience" now... A lot of people swear by they're Nilz/ Exchange, especially tha big boys!! so I gues it can only be good... but I think it's also a bit pricey... so unless u care about quality then u do for the investment or u u plan big sales numbers...

i've heard lots of mixed reports about these guys, although most recently i knew people who got a hip hop record done by them, and they were 100% happy with the result.

 that you mentioned the press factory in my country.
I agree that GZ Prague, is getting better nowadays. We've done two EPs there. Last one at the end of the year 2003. The quality is compareable to others but the principle advantage is a lower price,.
