who do u guys reckon has been the most dependable & solid producer ? not dj, jus production.
think i'm with..
Speedy J
and Autechre for the more xperimental (i know some ppl would argue Autechre *arent* techno, but i do :cheese: )
SlavikSvensk

Speedy J.. not only is he consistent in techno but after all the techno he had made prior, he then pulled ashockinghobby out of the bag and a gorgeous collab with Mike P as Slagboomvanloon and then carried on with techno for a bit haha

I don`t think there is anyone who`s stuff I always like.
Maybe inigo kennedy.
I prefer those that take risks and sometimes go too far.
speedy j > lol.
anyone who works with chris liebing cant be that consistent.
i would probably go with jeff mills (if i had to). but everyone including jeff mills knocks out crap from time to time.
and if we were talking the most consistent 'electronic' artist, id go for amon tobin.

Steve Rachmad in all his guises.
Everything he does just has an beautiful analogue sound and feel.
Prolific and consistent - a rare mix.

Yeh definitely steve rachmad i'd say Oliver Ho as well but other than that i wouldn't know.
Its hard to say whether some of the new producers are consitent yet because they havent been
producing long enough to be judged on their consistency

ollie ho often disapointed me with those light and dark things. ruskin too has dissapointed me on a musical level with flimsy "retro" or "90's" production techniques.
surgeon only ever dissapoints with BMB, other than that yes he is the most consistent imo...... even though his pace leaves something to be desired these days.

Disappoints with BMB?? Not for me, love both BMB and Surgeon, very rare he doesn't come up with the goods.

Maybe with some of the more recent releases they could use a few new ideas alright, but as a whole I think BMB are quality.
Regis solo aint half bad either, although I haven't heard all that much lately...
