Hi, i get really :paranoid: about vinyl going out of fasion and that people will stop releasing on vinyl and that it will become un-cool to be still using vinyl and not some fancy new format...

Ye see i still havent really embraced the cd djing thing, i just much prefer vinyl, now dont get me wrong cds are handy, but i just love me owl vinyl and only bring a very small quantity of cd's (if any) when dj'ing..

Anyway, anyone feel the same, what your feelings on this..??

my question is, why does it always have to be framed as a this versus that debate.

why not just use both and STFU about it?

just a thought...

haha not your fault, dude! you're getting a BOA baptism by fire, but don't be put off. we're mostly nice folks in here.

there's a periodic vinyl vs cd vs mp3 vs whatever dustup in here, that's all.

hey dan...why don't you just save us all some trouble and make "format wars" a sticky aiight, sucka??

Think you'll find 8 tracks are more modern than vinyl, Robin.

Anyone else notice how each time this argument comes around, the vinyl purist camp gets smaller, and the "I don't care so long as we don't have to have this discussion" camp gets bigger.

eyeswithoutaface

should make one of the older threads on this topic a sticky instead Slavik, one with some relevant information in it so people like Richie can relay their fears

SlavikSvensk

i just think that one continuous debate is preferable to a rehash of this preiodically (often by people who weren't around for earlier debates), followed by moaning.

i'd actually suggest a brand new one called something like "format debate" so it also includes the vinyl vs mp3 crap

can we add mac vs PC and hardware vs software in the "format debate" thread? ;)

dan the acid man
25-03-2006, 01:24 PM
oops, only just checked in here again.

so what do you want me to do, make this a sticky ?
or make a new post called format debate and make it a sticky ?

or find one of the older debates and make that a sticky ?

opinions please

Dj-Richie-Parker
25-03-2006, 05:22 PM
mabey you could make a debate forum alltogether, ongoing topics which can be discussed in the debate forum would be
"vinyl vs cds " mac vs pc etc

Also there should be a "Richie Parker and his music" topic in the discussion forum too..

But seriously anything that is deemed debate materiel or reacurring topics can be just move into the debate forum..?

dan the acid man
25-03-2006, 05:42 PM
no, it needs to be a a sticky topic at the top of this section, so people can easily see it

yeah that's it. any vinyl vs cd vs mp3 vs yomama discussions can go there. then scott won't get so upset everytime someone starts a new one ;)
