After moving across country and taking time off to get my life settled, I'm back to being hungry to produce music once again. I have a new house with half the downstairs unfinished which I will be renovating into my visual and audio design studio. I'm getting ready to draw up plans, but first I am looking to other studios for inspiration. I'm looking for 2 facets of a design setup:
1. FUNCTION..
I'm looking for images of the perfect functioning setup. To me function and layout are the key to a working studio.. The mixer, the keyboards, the racks and the computer all in the perfect layout so everything is accessible and nothing is "to hard" to put in the mix (so to say).
2. CUSTOM DESIGN..
I'm looking for pictures of the slickest studios. I'm talking custom pullout keyboard drawers, inset rack units, inset monitors, unique materials... etc. I'm looking for ways to "Pimp my studio" I guess you could say.
If it was just an audio studio it would be easier.. but I have the unique challenge of mixing the functions of a multimedia design studio (3D Design, Video/Graphic design, and Audio Design). So the ability to inset, hide or pull out certain audio pieces is what I'm trying to go for. Otherwise the audio gear can quickly dominate the space...
Please post pictures of audio studios your have seen on the web, scanned out of a magazine or even your own studio shots.. Any help is greatly appreciated.. !!!
