I was at this club recently, and I was having a conversation whilst sipping my Gin and tonic, and admiring my reflection, when I decided to walk onto the dancefloor.
And I couldn`t believe it, I saw this guy in the DJ booth, and all he was doing, was spinning some bits of plastic on some decks, and like, keeping some very very similar and obvious beats in time with each other.
Every now and again he like, moved a crossfader or an eq pot.
That`s it, that was all he was doing.
And yet everyone was dancing?
Bloody outrage.
I thought he was like a one man band, playing the bass, and drums, and synths and stuff, but he was kidding everyone and just playing records.
OF OTHER PEOPLES MUSIC.
I think it`s outrageous, what do you think?
anyway, I pushed my way through all the people on the dancefloor, and went back to the dark corner with all my mates, who were drinking coffee and G&T and stuff, and we had a long conversation about it.
Well we would have if the music wasn`t so bloody loud.
Techno, I dunno, it`s all a big lie.
I wish everyone would listen to more worthy music, like pategonian mountain goat lung organ music.

haha
i was indeed a lazy arsed vinyl dj myself today, i decided to have a mix for the first time in well over a couple of months, i gave up after 15 minutes i was that bad, just one of them days i suppose.
so i just sat there playing some of my favourite classics, without mixing, listening to them in full, and you know what, this musics great :cheese:

In all seriousness this is underrated - it's not all like the cheesy commercial stuff, if you dig a bit you can find some real bangers.

I can't stand vinyl DJs. Vinyl just doesn't have the warmth of wax cylinders. You can really feel the difference.

Depends how bit it is.
If it's less than 256 it's going to sound shit on a rig - you're better off with the original Greek (though that has less hi end shimmer).

Can you imagine if the big bang was just the first beat in some giant cosmic Techno tune? We're all just sitting waiting for it to drop.

Maybe it's just altered perception of time from too much ketamine... it's really at 160bpm, but we're just stuck in a big slowdown and each second's taking an aeon...
