I've been offered first dabs on the Drumcode label back catalogue from a contact of mine, all releases are there for the taking.

Question is, which ones are worth getting? I own a few of the later releases and love them, but missed out on some of the older ones.

Recommend me some please!

Also any worthy of purchase releases on Code Red please feel free to recommend as well. I can't find any back catalogue audio samples or MP3's on the net anywhere for either label.

i can't really remember em that well - but i remember 1 being pretty good, and all the lekebusch ones were decent too. 'remainings' was okay. 'compressed' wasn't too bad... 'tasty bits' and 'crispy bits' weren't too bad either i think... kinda hate that loopy shite these days but used to love it.

Cheers. I'll check Discogs for some more info on the ones you've mentioned. :)

Anyone else got any recommendations?

Actually, Marco Carola's track on Code Red too (the one on the triple pack). Some of his best work right there, on par with some of the Questions and the likes :rambo:

I still play No.3 by RND Technologies, simple but so ****in effective.. some of the tracks from Beyer's "Protechtion" album are supreme, and yet to be bettered in hard techno in my opinion. Lekebusch's early ones (4 + 10) were ace, and there were other random ones here and there that were good too. No. 20.5 (Remainings III - DK mix) is probably the biggest selling 12" on Drumcode... it's a good one too.

Lots of good ones in the Code Red series, the first release "Wood Carver EP" by Thomas Krome was cool when it came out, it really put him on the map at the time, although for me it was that crazy distorted track on DC 06 with Beyer that had already sealed it :)
