Jeff Mills @ Yellow, Tokyo last night

So me and the Mrs. went to see Jeff Mills play last night at Yellow. It was billed as a house night so we were expecting a nice Jeff Mills heavy pounding house session...

Oh no.

All we got was really really old vocal house all night. Total toss. It seemed that a lot of people in the crowd felt the same and me and my girlfriend about this and retreated to the bar.

What was he playing at?

The mixing was typically superb but the music was just terrible! He played it hard for about 2 tracks them went back to stuff from the early 90's

I am sorry if I missed the point with this one...

Not what I expected from him to be honest. I was him at Womb a while back and it was fire.

I would have liked to have seen that!! I have his 'choice' cd so i kinda have an impression of the type of tunes he'd be dropping!!I'd quite like them :blush: as a change from your typical Mills style techno, but too much vocal can just be like drilling a hole through your head!

They've always played house when i've been to Yellow. Easy club for bottle tax in town.
