Accept no immitations!!

So,predictions?

A draw will suit me i reckon, that'd still leave us infront of the scum, but in reality i think they might do us. Arsenal have picked up pace and really improved their game in recent months. i just hope that they rest some big guns for their CL game on wednesday.

this could well boil down to the deciding game of who gets 4th spot. both teams are going to be going for it,they both want the 3 points. I'm already getting nervous.

I will say...

COYS!!!

It was a good game,we dominated the first half 40/60 on posession. We had something like 6 shots,5 on target and they had 3 with 1 on target. Second half they came out a different team unfortunatly. Played much better football, and it was alot more even. The pub errupted when Keano scored,i spilled my drink and hugged the nearest thing to me (which was a pillar) Then it all went tits up,they scored,Davids get's sent of and we defend like f*ck to stay in.

Good game, shame about the result, but you can't take it away from them,Henrys goal was good, slotted it in the far corner past Robbo, who had no chance.

Highlight of the match, was Lemon getting smashed in the face from Defoes shot at point blank range. WANKAAAAA

I think you'll find it was Jol squaring up to Wenger, Arsene stayed in his technical area and Jol went right up to him. It was bad sportsmanship by Spurs for their goal and Carrick obviously saw what happened and you'd think Jol must have and he seemed to be indicating to play on, pointing towards the Arsenal goal/up field.

We'd probably have won if we hadn't rested 5 players, but I'm more bothered about the CL and getting to the final, so can't complain about that. I reckon we still have a decent chance of finishing 4th if we win our remaining games though, can see Spurs dropping points against Bolton and/or West Ham, especially if Boro knock the Hammers out the cup, which they hopefully will. It's a shame this game had to come in the middle of our semi-final with Villarreal though.

Maybe we ought to make pact's with our European opposition not to rest players so it'll be the same for both teams, but Villarreal probably rested players too, or will do...

Bad sportsmanship MY ARSE. The ref was right next to the 2 twats who fell over, the ref saw that they were just having a little roll around cos they're DIVING CHEATING TWATS. The ref waved play on,nothing wrong with that goal at all. How many f*cking times do we see the scum take advantege when a player's down, didn't you do it in the Villareal game? Different when the shoe's on the other foot innit. But i guess we have 2 rather biased opinions here. Maybe a neutral can give their tuppence worth.

Re-Wenger n The JolFather,I didn't see who squared up to who I just thought it was rather funny.the screeen in the pub kept flickering, which was heart stopping when the arse had a corner or something. It'd freeze when it was taken, flicker on for an in the box scramble shot, freeze and then come back on when the ball was clear. the whole pub went silent.

I have never heard anything so stupid in all my life about Wenger and the Arsenal player expecting Spurs to kick the ball out of play because 2 arsenal players run into each other, its there fault that they are so clumbsy and it was not as if they had head injuries or anything. Spurs were fully entitled to play on and if anything it was bad defending as Arsenal still had 3 defenders back and Flamini never tracked Keane.

The ref can only stop the game if it's a head injury, but you see players putting the ball out so players can get treatment all the time, Spurs wouldn't have scored if it wasn't for Eboue and Gilberto being injured, Davids crossed from the right back position, Toure had to come across leaving space for Keane to exploit, plus Gilberto couldn't protect the back 4... Still, it'll be that much sweeter if we win the CL if Spurs finish 4th, especially if it's because of that goal.

Im afraid ur talking shit there will.

The ball doesnt have to be put out when a players injured and the ref was stood right next to it and carried on. He would have stopped the game if it was a head injury.

Anyway the cheating prick got up and went back down when he saw spurs carrying on.

What goes around comes around, and most on here would agree that the arse are up there when it comes to gamesmanship

Will

No, I'm afraid you've jumped the gun there! I never said they had to put the ball out, it's just poor sportsmanship not to. And sitting up is hardly the same as getting up when it was a leg injury. When Arsenal scored against Sheffield United in similar circumstances we gave them a replay, so I don't see what goes around coming around!

xes
24-04-2006, 09:27 AM
LOL yeh, then what happened in the replay?
By then Arsenal were ahead, Ljungberg firing into the roof of the net from six metres on 34 minutes after Sylvain Wiltord hit the post and had a shot blocked following good work by Francis Jeffers.

United were unfortunate in the build-up as Arsenal defender Sol Campbell fouled forward Wayne Allison, but referee Graham Poll allowed play to continue and then collided with United's Michael Tonge, allowing the Londoners to break forward.

"If the referee doesn't give a free kick it's normal to carry on." Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said."
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/soccer/news/2003/04/13/english_soccer_ap/ <<link. And this was the replay, after Kanu intercepted the ball going back to the keeper after the ball was played out.

Will........your a turd!

Arsenals players are all imported cheating twats, none of them were hurt they are just pussys thats stayed down over nothing the ref waved play on and they both went to get up, then one twat stayed down! we were the better side and have been better than you all season ( in the prem) the only reason it was a draw is cause you have Henry! ........ what a shame he is going next season    ;)

and Jol should of banged out 'winger' wenger as he is a cry baby!!

Hmmm, not bad!

As for Luke, it's just a shame Spurs have had the worst season in the history of the prem in all other competitions, getting knocked straight out of the Carling and FA cup by the mighty Grimsby and Leicester and didn't play in europe - as per usual. And Arsenal have already played 17 games more and have at least twice as many left to play, yet if we win our game in hand you'll only be 1 point above us. And you'll probably only be knocked straight out like Everton without reaching the CL proper if you do get the 4th CL spot so you'll only be in the Uefa either way. No offence Xes!

we will do better than everton trust me!! your finished!!! ha ha ha

Will
24-04-2006, 04:38 PM
The only reason you're doing so well is because you're playing a record low number of games and if you can't even see off Grimsby and Leicester you'll stand no chance in the Uefa, nevermind the CL - Arsenal have never lost to lower league opposition under Wenger, nevermind twice in one season! And since you've done nothing whatsoever in europe in god knows how long you'll get drawn with the toughest teams, so whichever competition you end up in you'll stand no chance and you clearly can't balance more than one competition.

I can honestly say i wouldn't be bothered if we finnished 4th and you won the champions league. Just finnishing above your lot would make my season. Don't care if we did it by being shit in the cup matches, sometimes you have to concentrate on 1 objective. I think that's what spurs have done, and aside from a few sketchy results against relegation fodder,we've done it well.

Well done spurs,I'm proud of you *wipes tear from eye*
