what are you feelings on them
if a label were to strictly do 7" would you play them?

I guess, although I`m not sure you could get good cuts onto it.
I think 10 inch would be better.
I`ve forgotten the optimum times of 7inch, but if the tracks were cut nicely and the records were cheaper than 12 inch releases, then yeah, I¬d play em.

Maximum time on a 7" is about 3 minutes ish if its only around that length you can actually get a very good cut but doesn't leave you much room to play with of course.

I don't really like cueing 7"s, I find it very fiddly... mind you I've only got a few of them I'd actually beatmatch (ie that aren't punk or disco or something) so I haven't really had much reason to practice.

yeah, it`s an interesting idea.
I reckon you could get 4 mins on a 7inch with a pretty good cut.
I`m not sure how much of a difference it makes though in terms of cost.

I bought Girlpower 1 recently & was surprised to find that it was a 7 inch, to be honest its quite a nice novelty compared to the rest, the only thing is if ur mixing & ur a little worse for wair ull just mix straight past it as its smaller than the rest in the bag hahaha

I bought Girlpower too...I don't mind that it is a 7"record as long as the sound is good and good tracks are on it
