Just got back into my techno, after dabbling in breaks and gradually getting more and more pissed off at the lack of descent tunes. The trouble is, I like too much music, but think I am gonna stick with techno for a while.
Anyway, I'm absolutely absolutely loving 2 Dollar Egg productions.
Can anyone recommend me any techno artists or labels that produce a similar sort of style?
Cheers,
Oh and I'm not a newb , I'm more of a reader than a poster, but HELLO to everyone!

Also, 2 Dolar Egg aren't exactly hard techno.
Is this in the wrong forum?

whats wrong with having a cross section of music? if you "just stick to techno" you'll get bored of it too.. and yeah, i'd go to the techno forum for that lighter stuff ;)

I totally agree. What I meant was that I think that I am going to predominately play techy stuff. Also, liking too many styles is bloody expensive.
I'm sure I posted this in the techno forum. Can it be moved?

If you like 2 Dollar Egg try checking out the stuff on the label Nummer Schallplatten (probably #5 and above). It's all somewhat similar but different enough to be pretty good. You might be into the artist Someone Else as well but its not quite as aggressive or dark and a tad more minimal. Also in the same vein of the harder slower material, you'd probably really be into Adam Beyer's new direction on his label Mad Eye as well as his EP on Plus 8.

Yeah, I've got a couple of tunes on Nummer, good label. Its kind of minimal and interesting, but slightly tougher. Really like this sound.
Cheers for the tips. Will check them out.

Dark breaks, hmm. Not a huge fan of them. Anything by 'Sonz of Mecca', 'ED209' do some pretty dark tearout stuff as well if thats what your after.
