Looks like we'll have to move for Johnson sharpish if we want him with Wigan having a bid accapted, I've heard him and his family are Gooners, but I'm not totally convinced he's good enough. And surprise, surprise, Spurs have bid for Curtis Davies, they only seem to bid for players linked to Arsenal or mediocre English players like Carlton Cole.

So we may be forced to bid for them soon if we really want them. Plus it looks like we might be after Owen and there's suggestions he can leave for £12m which would be a decent price... except he only played 11 games this season which is terrible, I think that might include internationals too, though as long as he was fit for next years CL final then he'd be worth it. :cheese:

Though what we really need is more steel in midfield, domestically at least, though if Chelsea sign Shevchenko we can probably forget the prem whoever we sign... Though I'd hope we'll secure Champions league football a little earlier and easier next season.

Looks like Pires has finally signed for Villarreal, which is a shame in a way, he's been a great player for us, though he's 32 now and we got Rosicky, so can't complain really! I just hope the curse of Cygan is lifted this summer, I suspect it will be and he wasn't really injured like Wiltord when he left on a free.

It'd be a shame if Sol leaves really, though he does make me a bit nervous at times these days and if we got £8m for him and Davies is a worthy replacement and signs for £6m then it'd be good business. I'd feel a bit sorry for Sol going to Turkey, but it might be good for him, apparently he stayed in Belgium for a bit after the West Ham game...
