Makaton
‘Beauty Default’
(RODZ-KONEZ)
The first release on Rodz-Konez for eighteen months and it’s a bomb. ‘Beauty Default’ is by the highly respected Makaton and if you thought you’d got his sound all figured out from previous releases, think again. Screaming into action the EP bungs you into a microwave with a rampant bath-tub bashing at the door. Then suddenly, you’re at an instrument tune-up session in the Albert Hall. But within seconds, you’re back in the microwave again. And almost like bad-acid, the cycle seems to never end. This is some seriously messed up music. M7/M8

"lets do some funny schranz remixes of one of the most powerful acid tracks ever"? idiots! even the edge of motion rmx is nothin compared with their older works.

yep i was hoping the edge of motion remix would claw something back after hearing the warez remix, but nope, nothing, just totally blah. Seriously wasted opportunity there for some stunning remixes of a classic, seminal track
